MUNICH, GERMANY (November 14, 2006) - FCI, a leading developer of connectors and interconnect systems, announced today at Electronica 2006 that it is expanding its popular FCI Basics+® program to reach its global market. The FCI Basics+ program offers outstanding service on industry-standard connectors and has long been popular with customers looking for convenient solutions for interconnect design challenges. Now, by utilizing the strength of FCI's distribution network, the many advantages of the FCI Basics+ program are available on a worldwide basis:

· Immediate technical assistance via the basics.help@fciconnect.com hotline · A new micro site (www.fciconnect.com/basics) and a dedicated catalog to make products easy to find · Simplified ordering by selecting popular standard solutions from the Core Range or Priority Parts (custom requirements can also be met with products from FCI's expansive Extended Range) · Fast delivery of sample or prototype quantities via immediate dispatch from local stock.

The FCI Basics+ program encompasses industry-standard 2.54mm and 2mm pitch connectors for board-to-board, wire-to-board and cable-to-board applications. Established, proven FCI brands such as BergStik®, Dubox(TM), PV®, Quickie® and Minitek(TM) are included.

"While many of our customers look to FCI for the latest interconnect technology, many also continue to design in connectors that have been reliable and proven components of our product lines for years," said David Sideck, Regional Market Manager, FCI. "We want to make it as simple and convenient as possible for all our customers around the world to keep the FCI components they've come to rely on within easy reach."
