ETTERS, PA. (January 16, 2008) - FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect systems, in their continuing efforts to expand the service level of their Basics+ program, is now pleased to announce the launch of the Basics+ Design Service.
The Basics+ design program enables customers to easily choose the standard board/wire/cable-to-board connection for their application. Many applications, however, also require something outside of the standard, albeit a small variation or a major modification. In those cases, the Basics+ Design Service is the perfect answer.
The Basics+ Design Service is an easy-to-use web application. Customers make a selection from generic connector pictures then simply give details about their specific needs. Based on this input, FCI recommends either an existing part from their huge range of specials or suggests a new design. A drawing, price and sample, as applicable, are then quickly supplied to the customer.
