MANITOWOC, WI, June 21, 2010 - Extrutech Plastics, Inc., a custom plastic extruder, was Certified By Verisys Registrars, LLC of Brookfield, WI as ISO 9001-2008 Quality Management System compliant. Extrutech received its certification for ISO 9001:2000 compliance in January, 2009, and during the current recertification process the clarifications implemented in ISO 9001-2008 were incorporated. ISO 9001:2008 has been developed in order to introduce clarifications to the existing requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and to improve compatibility with ISO 14001:2004. ISO 9001:2008 does not introduce additional requirements nor does it change the intent of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
The scope of ISO 9991:2008 registration encompasses the manufacturing of custom PVC profile extrusions for the agriculture, food, construction and other custom markets.
EXTRUTECH PLASTICS extrudes high quality, close tolerance wall and suspended ceiling panels for the car wash, agriculture, food production and many other industries. Extrutech also manufactures a complete line of maintenance free doors, jambs, clean rooms, interior residential plantation shutters, trims, boards, and outdoor decking.
Extrutech Plastics also specializes in custom extrusion work for the office furniture, electrical components, and government research laboratories. With a 162,000 square foot plant located on 10 acres, the company operates 21 extrusion lines 24 hours a day. It can produce shapes as small as ¼" wide and as large as 40" wide on its largest production lines. Extrutech specializes in the extrusion of multiple hollow, rigid PVC profiles and cellular foam, solid PVC profiles for interior and exterior applications.
In addition to this ISO Certification, Extrutech Plastics is also a registered U.S. Government supplier, and a qualified manufacturer for the "Buy American" requirements in the U.S. Stimulus Package.
ABOUT EXTRUTECH PLASTICS, INC. - Extrutech Plastics was founded in 1992 by Greg Sheehy, and began extrusion with one used 3 ½" extruder and downstream lines. The first products were vinyl window profiles and tubing for central vacuum systems. The company has outgrown three smaller buildings and is now located, at the current site, in a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The company currently employs 55 associates on three shifts.
