Experts with Over 150 Years of Combined Auxiliary Equipment Experience Assume 9 Key Positions at Novatec

CHICAGO, June 19, 2006: Starting with the head of an investment group that carried out the management buyout of Novatec, Inc. six weeks ago, a formidable array of experienced and talented professionals have since taken on key positions at the company, it was announced at NPE 2006 by Lawrence F. (Larry) DeBaugh, chairman of the "new Novatec." Seven professionals with expertise primarily in plastics auxiliary equipment have joined Novatec, and two others have been promoted to new product sales positions.

"Our strategic plan for Novatec calls for a doubling in the size of the company within three years," said DeBaugh. "The truly remarkable depth of experience in plastics auxiliary equipment brought to Novatec by the people now joining us constitutes a dramatic surge of new capability to help us carry out that plan."

DeBaugh himself had been president of Novatec before the buyout and is a member of the investment group that purchased the company early last month. Other longtime Novatec officials remaining with the company include John W. (Jack) Doub, Jr., who continues as executive vice president; John Gillette, who continues as vice president in charge of engineering; and Joe Rich, who remains national sales manager.
