New Hyde Park, New York - An expanded line of acme & ball lead screws from Techno-Isel features over 950 components, to make it more affordable than ever to design and build linear systems, automated production systems, inspection machinery, or any product that requires linear motion. A highlight of the catalog is a 15-page technical data section covering the selection and sizing of lead and ball screws. Other topics covered are: speed versus length, load versus length, critical speed versus load, life expectancy, and lead screw formulas.
Inch size acme screws are available off-the-shelf from 1/4" to 1" diameter and stock lengths of up to 6 feet. Metric acme screws from 10 mm to 24 mm diameter and stock lengths up to 2 meters. Inch size ball screws from 1/4" to 1-1/2" diameter and stock lengths of up to 6 feet. Metric ball screws in 16 mm and 25 mm diameter with stock lengths of up to 3 meters. Each screw has several types of matching nuts available including anti-backlash. The catalog includes an assortment of accessories including: end bearings, couplings, coupling housings, motor standoffs, and screw nut mounting blocks. Custom machining of lead screw ends for OEM applications is available.
