Partnership will deliver more accurate and efficient production data to users of Exact JobBOSS
Chicago, Illinois - September 6, 2006 - Exact Software(TM), a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential to an organization, today announced that the company's Exact JobBOSS® division has partnered with Okuma to deliver critical production data to its customers.
Okuma is the world's largest computer numeric controls (CNC) and machining technology company, including vertical and horizontal machining centers, lathes, double column machining centers, grinders, and wheel machines.
In the spirit of continuing to deliver outstanding value to their customers, Exact JobBOSS has tapped into Okuma's vision of a plug and play control platform that allows their intelligent, flexible machines on the shop floor to "think" for themselves. This platform is Okuma THINC.
Okuma THINC, a standard, off-the-shelf PC platform is designed to enable access to almost any application and peripheral including shop management systems, and interfaces with bar coders, feeders, robots, probes and tool setters to help streamline production. Through THINC, communication with established business and production systems is immediately available.

This partnership will result in production data such as job starts, machine hours and part counts coming directly off the machine into Exact JobBOSS, providing a level of accuracy unattainable through traditional data entry methods.
