Luxi Lighting's revolutionary lighting and wiring harness system will now be manufactured in Europe.
VIZCAYA, Spain February 1, 2007 -- Luxi Lighting's revolutionary lighting and wiring harness system has been connecting so well with European heavy-duty trailer makers, after-market installers and fleet operators, company officials announced today the system will now be manufactured in Europe.
The innovative weather- and grime-proof harness system, which permits multiple wiring configurations without splicing, will be made in a new facility in Barcelona, Spain. The harness, first introduced in April, 2006, had been manufactured in Mexico.
"The Luxi Lighting harness was designed and manufactured with the European heavy-duty haulage market in mind," said Luxi Managing Director John Grote. "Making the product in Europe is one more way we are working together to create custom solutions for our customers' needs."
Unrivaled for its flexibility, weatherproof construction, simplicity and competitive price, the Luxi harness was developed with patented Ultra-Blue-Seal (UBS) technology. The signature blue wiring harness locks out the effects of salt, dirt and road debris. It is also 100 percent waterproof.
Designed to operate well in extreme conditions, its components have been road-tested for 20 years in the harsh weather of Canada and the northern United States.
The harness features soft-molded plastic over-moldings. Connections meet and flex with the vehicle, holding together regardless of cold or heat. Unlike old-style wire harnesses, in which rigid pieces allow for gaps that invite destructive moisture and grime, Luxi's harness helps seal out the effects of the environment.
The product's modular design accommodates a myriad of connections -- all without the need for a junction box or splicing. Installation requires no special tools. The harness also was required to pass a series of punishing tests that surpassed what it would experience in more than a lifetime of normal use.
