Estimate Savings with PRAB's Coolant Recycling ROI Calculator

PRAB's Fluid Filtration Division has recently released a return on investment (ROI) calculator for its Guardian coolant recycling system.

The easy-to-use, online calculator allows operations managers for machining and grinding applications to estimate initial payback and long-term savings of a Guardian coolant recycling system. The calculator offers a payback based upon the user's inputted costs related to labor, coolant purchases and disposal, as well as tooling savings.

"Today's business environment requires a shop to run as effectively, efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible," said Tim Hanna, Managing Director of PRAB's Fluid Filtration Division. "Substantial savings can be gained in increased productivity, coolant purchases and disposal, as well as extended tool life. In most cases, the average return on the initial investment in a coolant recycling system is less than one year."

The Guardian coolant recycling system cuts coolant waste disposal costs up to 90 percent and the need to buy new coolant up to 75 percent. With process capacities up to 1,500 gallons (5,678 liters) per hour, the system also extends tool life an additional 25 percent. A continuous overflow process prevents rancidity as the system removes free-floating and mechanically dispersed tramp oils to 0.1 percent or less.
