Essemtec to Premier Scorpion High-Performance Dispenser at CiEN

Essemtec will introduce its high-performance dispenser Scorpion at the upcoming CiEN exhibition in Paris. With an accuracy of 51µm (3σ) and a dispensing performance up to 100,000 points per hour, Scorpion is among the best dispensers in the world. Additionally, Essemtec will present the highly flexible SMT pick-and-place system Paraquda.
CiEN (Carrefour des Industries Electroniques et Numériques) is the leading event for the electronics and digital sector in France. At this event, Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems, will premier its new automatic dispensing system Scorpion to the French market. The easy programming and operation allow for the use of a wide range of dispensing applications. The Scorpion can be equipped with up to four dispensing valves of any kind.
Within the Scorpion, Essemtec's engineers used the most modern, accurate systems that drive and steering technology can offer today. The exceptional performance is achieved due to the new dispenser base, the Paraquda machine platform. Its XY-portal is built on a robust mineral cast chassis that provides excellent damping and smooth motion at high speed. The H-Drive features precision linear measuring devices to guarantee highest accuracy for demanding tasks.
A further highlight will be the introduction of the Paraquda. Paraquda is one of the world's most modern SMT pick-and-place systems that is ideally suited for both service providers and product manufacturers. The machine is operated and programmed using ePlace, Essemtec's intuitive and fully graphical user interface that simplifies operation and setup of production machines.
