At the upcoming NEPCON South China exhibition, taking place August 30-September 1 in Shenzhen, China, Essemtec will highlight the Paraquda SMD pick-and-place, the first system ever to use ePlace operating software, as well as the new Cobra feeder.
NEPCON South China is one of the biggest and longest standing SMT trade events in South China that features all major brands in the SMT world. It is a leading platform for brand building, lead generation, and networking for global SMT equipment and products suppliers. For the first time, Essemtec, the Swiss manufacturer of production systems, will exhibit the Paraquda, one of the most modern SMD pick-and-place systems, in China. Additionally, the new Cobra Feeder system will be introduced.
The Paraquda is an SMD placement system suitable for subcontractors and product manufacturers. It is highly flexible and can be changed during operation. Additionally, due to its four parallel pick-and-place axes, it delivers a high placement rate. It can assemble any type of SMD component from 01005 chips up to 100 mm long connectors. The machine is operated and programmed using ePlace, Essemtec's intuitive and graphical software. Personal demonstrations during the exhibition will be available.
The newly developed Cobra is one of the world's most accurate and fastest feeding systems. Indexing takes less than 60 ms, allowing the Cobra to increase production speed by 25 percent. A double-8-mm feeder is only 20 mm wide. An integrated cutter for tape and cover tape is available. An active retracting system ensures reliable, continuous feeding.
