Press release date: June 19, 2008

Erie, Pa. - Eriez®, world authority in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory and inspection applications, is reporting that 2008 sales are strong, with January sales reaching a record high for the company. "Our sales success thus far this year is due in large part to recycling equipment sales," said Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO.

"The introduction of the ProSort and FinesSort(TM) Metal Recovery Systems gave us a competitive edge that has captured international attention and, ultimately, paid off in sales," said Shuttleworth. "The industry has been waiting for a better alternative to traditional metal recovery systems, and we're glad to deliver it," he continued.

Eriez' ProSort improves metal separation--while operating at a fraction of the cost of air power metal sorters. Ideal for the scrap metals market, the patent-pending ProSort airless metal recovery system uses high sensitivity metal sensors aligned with low energy electromagnetically driven paddles to separate valuable metals from waste material.

The new FinesSort(TM) Metals Recovery System is the ultimate in fine particle metal reclamation FinesSort's series of powerful magnetic components recover valuable ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the fines waste stream in scrap yards. This system not only reduces the amount of waste destined for landfill, but reclaims thousands of pounds of metals per day.

"We are proud of our sales accomplishments in 2008, and especially proud of the products such as ProSort and FinesSort(TM) that have helped us reach and exceed our sales goals," said Shuttleworth. He added, "With more new product introduction soon to come and the constant improvements made to existing offerings, I am confident that 2008's sales will continue to soar."

Eriez is recognized as world authority in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory and inspection applications. The company's magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, x-ray, materials feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment have application in the process, metalworking, packaging, recycling, mining, aggregate and textile industries.
