Eriez® HydroFlow® Director of Business Development Appointed to National Kidney Foundation Board of Directors

Erie, PA – Eriez® proudly announces that Thomas P. Cassese, Director of Business Development for Eriez HydroFlow®, has been named to the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Board of Directors.

“Years ago, a friend who is a kidney specialist introduced me to one of his patients and I was offered a window into the daily lives of those with kidney failure,” says Cassese. “Ever since meeting this patient, I have been inspired to do everything in my power to help those living with kidney disease and to prevent those at risk from developing it.”

One in three American adults is at risk for kidney disease due to high blood pressure and diabetes, and most don’t know it, according to the National Kidney Foundation. “I am dedicated to supporting the Foundation’s goals to combat kidney disease by increasing awareness and encouraging early detection to prevent further damage, if possible,” says Cassese.

“Mr. Cassese has been steadfast in his commitment to fighting kidney disease, and for more than 15 years he has volunteered with the South Carolina NKF chapter, serving on the local Board of Directors and chairing the annual golf tournament,” says Bruce Skyer, Chief Executive Officer at the National Kidney Foundation. “Joining the NKF’s national Board of Directors is a natural next step in Mr. Cassese’s commitment to elevate kidney disease as an urgent public health issue. He will be an asset to the NKF’s national awareness, prevention and treatment initiatives.”

Cassese has served as the Director of Business Development for Eriez HydroFlow since 2010. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Plymouth State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of New Hampshire.

The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families and tens of millions of Americans at risk.
