Eriez®-Europe Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Erie, Pa.- Eriez® Magnetics, world authority in advanced technology for magnetic, vibratory and inspection applications, announces the 40th anniversary of its Europe division, Eriez Magnetics Europe Ltd., one of the largest facilities in Eriez' global network. "From humble beginning in 1968 as an Eriez licensee, Eriez-Europe emerged," said Tim Shuttlewoth, President and CEO. "The company now develops high-tech process equipment utilized throughout the world."
From 1968-1974, the company that was destined to become Eriez-Europe operated as an Eriez licensee and quickly grew sales of Eriez products to Europe, while developing a loyal customer base. In 1974 an affiliated company, Eriez Magnetics UK Ltd., was established as Eriez' European sales, manufacturing, design and test headquarters. The company immediately experienced rapid growth fuelled by investment in the British coal industry.
After a surge of acquisitions, Eriez-Europe is now uniquely positioned to offer a single source for magnetic separation, metal detection, vibratory handling and material sampling equipment to protect machinery, improve product quality, enhance material handling methods and verify quality standards. Today, Eriez-Europe is the largest magnetic separator manufacturer in the UK, and the first ever in the world to attain the international quality standard ISO 9001. Its offices and facilities are modern, well-resourced and include a state-of-the-art test laboratory equipped with the largest range of high intensity magnetic separation test equipment anywhere in the world, including the latest POWERFLUX superconducting magnet. There are designated areas for wet and dry material processing, a metal detector and electronic metal separator demonstration area as well as XRF analytical equipment. Customers can have a sample of their material tested to ensure that the best separation and detection equipment is chosen for a particular application and separation objective.
