Erie, PA - Charlie Ingram, Eriez® Vice President of Sales and Marketing, announces the promotion of Derek Novotny to Manager - Coal Processing. Novotny will report to Dan Norrgran, Heavy Industry Market Manager.
Novotny joined Eriez in 2008 as a Mining Engineer. In his new and expanded role, Novotny will lead Eriez' sales efforts to the Coal Industry, while also continuing to contribute his expertise in collateral assignments within the Minerals and Materials Processing Division.
"Derek has done an excellent job in recent years developing equipment sales to the Coal Industry and establishing Eriez as the 'industry standard,'" says Norrgran. "Derek's experience and industry knowledge will serve him well in his new role."
Novotny graduated from Laurentian University of Sudbury, Ontario as a Mining Engineer. Prior to joining Eriez, he worked as a Division Technical Manager at Austin Powder Company, manufacturers of industrial explosives, blasting agents and accessories for the quarrying, mining and construction industries.
