Enmetric Systems and Their Internet of Things (IoT) Platform Chosen as Energy Management Solution for First Net-Zero Energy Office Building in San Francisco

DPR Construction, recently cited as largest private company in Silicon Valley, selects Enmetric as most innovative enterprise to solve Plug Load Management issues

BELMONT, Calif. - Enmetric Systems, Inc., a leading enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) company, announced that DPR Construction (DPR) will use Enmetric's intelligent plug load management system to help monitor, control and manage plug-load devices in DPR's new San Francisco regional office. The new San Francisco location at 945 Front Street aims to achieve official Net-Zero Energy Building (NZEB) certification by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) through its Living Building Challenge program. There are currently 12 buildings in the U.S. that have been certified as net zero energy by the International Living Future Institute's Living Building Challenge and this would represent the first official Net-Zero Energy Office Building certified in San Francisco.

"We are thrilled to be a key part of DPR's Net-Zero building strategy. Plug load has gone unchecked in buildings until now, and simple timers are just not enough. It's clear that customers need powerful dashboard features coupled with cloud-based data analytics, controls, and schedulers to completely eliminate wasted energy," said Walter Shimoon, Vice President at Enmetric Systems.

Enmetric provides Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial environments. The company's core application, plug load management, built on a cloud-based data analytics platform, saves companies up to 20% in energy costs. Specifically, Enmetric's platform provides real-time energy use data, automated control, measurement, and communication for individual electrical plug loads across the enterprise.

"We are excited to bring many different energy savings products and ideas to our customers which is why we have partnered up with Enmetric Systems to help solve the issue of Plug Load Management, a generally unmanaged segment of building operations. Enmetric stood out to us as the clear, best-in-class and innovative solution to address this problem," said Mike Messick, Project Manager at DPR Construction. Mike Humphrey, Regional Manager at DPR, added: "We intend for our San Francisco office to serve as a 'living lab' to test the newest and most intelligent energy efficient products on the market for others to see firsthand."

Enmetric is focused on delivering its enterprise energy management solutions to customers in several key market verticals, including: Information Technology, Healthcare & Big Pharma, Construction Development, Building Management and the Government-Public sector.
