Chandler, AZ, November 14, 2006 - Engenuity Systems, Inc., the leading distributor of intelligent networked control components, and Lagotek Corporation, best known for making high quality home automation affordable to homes throughout the U.S., signed an agreement today to distribute Lagotek's wireless Home Intelligence Platform (HIP). The agreement between the two organizations enables Lagotek to connect with over 800 dealers already affiliated with Engenuity.
"Signing this distribution agreement with Engenuity is a very important step for Lagotek. It will allow us to significantly expand our dealer network and increase the level of support to our current dealers and installers " said Ron Risdon, president of Lagotek. Lagotek's strategy is based upon providing a system that is feature rich, affordable, reliable, easy to install and use. Unlike many previous home automation solutions that have been primarily hardware based and hard wired, it offers dual wireless technology where functionality is provided through the application of a distributed, wireless network running on an open, software based platform. Lagotek's current software applications for the Home Intelligence Platform include climate control with multiple zones of heating and air conditioning, lighting, distributed audio, video monitoring and irrigation. Many more applications such as security, LED lighting, intercom, home theater and many others will be available from Lagotek and its partners in the near future.
