NREL Launches Energy Execs Institute

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announces its inaugural Energy Execs Institute a premier executive education program focused on delivering clean energy solutions.

The Energy Execs institute is a condensed version of the highly successful NREL Executive Energy Leadership program. Interest in the leadership program spurred the creation of the Institute, which will be a regular program offering in addition to the annual leadership program.

The July 20 - 22 Energy Execs Institute delivered renewable energy and energy efficiency technology curriculum to 16 clean energy decision-makers.

"The Energy Execs Institute offers another avenue to equip executives with important knowledge to accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies," said NREL Director Dan E. Arvizu. "NREL is fully committed to delivering innovative learning opportunities as we address our future energy challenges."

This year marks 100 representatives of industry, local government and non-profit organizations completing the Energy Execs program.
