Press release date: November 5, 2007

Internet training course gives convenient access to best practices for using vibration monitoring and analysis to maintain rotating machinery at highest performance levels.

KNOXVILLE, TENN (November 5, 2007) - Emerson Process Management announces a new Internet training course enabling plant personnel to learn best practices in the use of the CSI 2130 Machinery Health(TM) Analyzer through convenient Internet access. The Fundamentals of the CSI 2130 Machinery Health(TM) Analyzer provides clear explanations and guided demonstrations through the process of installing necessary drivers, uploading updated firmware and loading updated or newly purchased programs while allowing students to learn at their own pace.

This easy-to-follow eLearning program also covers topics such as: how to load a pre-defined route into the CSI 2130; gathering general and specialized vibration data; interfacing the data with a computer for further diagnostic analysis; monitoring mode measurements, and making peak and phase measurements. For a free evaluation of one module of this new course, go to https://admin.acrobat.com/_a13754005/p61276417/.

The CSI 2130 analyzer has been widely adopted for route-based vibration measurement and analysis since its introduction in 2003. Several versions of the instrument are now available for a variety of applications, including either single or dual channel operation or as a single-purpose unit dedicated to vibration measurement, dynamic balancing, or laser shaft alignment. Other functionality can be added to existing units in the field at any time.

The Fundamentals of CSI 2130 eLearning course is just one of many courses available through Emerson Educational Services. For more information on this or any other training course, go to: http://www.mhm.assetweb.com/education/edu_hm.html.
