Elsner Announces Promotions
Elsner Engineering Works, Inc., based in Hanover, Pennsylvania, USA, is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Bert Elsner, II has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, President & Treasurer of this 3rd generation family firm. Bert Elsner, II is the 5th Elsner to head the firm in its 79-year history. He is succeeding his cousin, F. Rusty Elsner, who worked for the firm for 25 years-11 of which he served as Chief Executive Officer, President & Treasurer.
Rusty will no longer be active in the daily management of the business, but will continue to serve on the Corporation's Board of Directors.
Currently in his 14th year with the family firm, Bert Elsner, II had previously worked as Vice President and had responsibility for the firm's manufacturing, IT and Human Resources departments. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Elsner, he worked at two other firms in the region. Bert lives in Hanover with his wife and son.
The firm is also pleased to announce that Robert D. Van Sant has been promoted to Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Robert is the first non-Elsner family member to hold an executive post with the firm. Robert has 24 years with the firm in the Controller position. Rob is an accounting graduate of the University of Baltimore and secured his MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. Rob is a licensed CPA. Prior to joining Elsner, he held several positions with firms in Baltimore, Maryland. He resides in Hanover with his wife and has three grown children.
Elsner Engineering Works, Inc. is currently celebrating its 79th year in business as a 3rd generation, family owned and operated business. The firm designs and manufactures special machinery for the converting and packaging industries. Its line of over 40 different rewinding, folding and overwrapping machines is used to convert and package such products as disposable disinfectant and baby non-woven wipes, gift wrap paper, aluminum foil and wallpaper. Elsner currently services and supports over 2500 machines worldwide with equipment in service in nearly 60 countries. Besides its headquarters in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Elsner offers field service support out of Hüllhorst, Germany and Shanghai, China.
