Press release date: January 10, 2013

As a company committed to innovation and environmental responsibility, Electrolube will debut new products for more efficient, eco-friendly production featuring their latest thermal management solutions, maintenance aids and resin products at the IPC APEX Expo in San Diego at booth 3051.

The latest product on show from Electrolube's full range of Thermal Management solutions is the silicone-free thermal paste, HTCX (Heat Transfer Compound Xtra). The company's R&D team added a proprietary dispersant to the current HTC formulation to develop the new HTCX, which has lead to a significant increase in thermally conductive filler without increasing the film thickness of the paste and without adversely affecting its viscosity/consistency. The HTCX thermal paste is smoother and provides even higher thermal conductivity, lower oil bleed and lower evaporation weight loss. The new paste is also highly resistant to humidity and thermal cycling and is recommended where efficient and reliable thermal coupling of electrical and electronic components is required, and between any surface where thermal conductivity and heat dissipation is important.

The specialist chemicals manufacturer will also launch two new maintenance and service aid products, capable of reducing equivalent CO2 emissions by 99.5% without compromising performance. Electrolube's EADH Air Duster and FREH Freezer Sprays feature the most advanced Halo-Olefin (HFO) technology, with a measured atmospheric lifetime of two weeks compared to a staggering fourteen years for the conventional HFC134a. The new propellant in EADH and FREH is also exempt from a number of carbon taxes imposed on HFC products around the world and is particularly popular in Austria and Switzerland, where the use of HFC-134a has been banned altogether.

Resins on show will feature the SC range of silicone products, which have been accomplishing record sales internationally. The bestseller within the range is the SC3001, an optically clear and flexible two-part encapsulation compound, developed specifically for the needs of the LED industry where optical clarity is essential. Offering the highest protection from water, chemicals and a range of environments, the SC3001 provides low viscosity, excellent electrical properties and high flexibility. The "2000" series of silicone resin products enables high continuous operating temperatures and provides an excellent barrier against a number of extreme conditions. Silicone resins in the "2000" series include SC2001, a general potting and encapsulating compound, SC2001FD a fast cure compound and SC2003, a thixotropic compound.

Ron Jakeman, Group Managing Director of H K Wentworth, comments, "2013 is a very big year for Electrolube, we are making lots of positive, dynamic advances within the company and are looking forward to engaging with visitors at APEX to provide the service that we do best, providing specialist chemical solutions for the electronics industry."

New products at the show will feature alongside established solutions from Electrolube's core product groups: Cleaning, Thermal Management, Conformal Coatings, Resins, Contact Lubricants and Maintenance & Service Aids. As a solutions provider, Electrolube's management team and expert chemists will be at booth 3051 to discuss visitor requirements in more detail.
