Electrochem Solutions Inc., a leader in customized battery power and wireless sensing solutions for critical applications, is proud to announce the hiring of George Cintra as Director of Engineering & Technology.

Mr. Cintra brings over 20 years of expertise in battery engineering, product and technology development of multiple battery systems, along with extensive experience in developing and leading R&D organizations. Prior to joining Electrochem, he held a variety of R&D leadership roles for Procter & Gamble Co.'s Duracell Batteries Division located in Needham, MA and Bethel, CT. During his career with Duracell, he led the design and implementation of lithium ion rechargeables manufacturing, championed a variety of new primary and secondary battery technologies, managed the creation of world class R&D labs, and drove the execution of new intellectual property and innovation strategies.

As Director of Engineering & Technology, George will be positioned in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Raynham, MA. George's focus will be directing his engineering and technology teams in product design activities, as well as working with customers to develop new and innovative product solutions.

Mr. Cintra earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with honors from the University of Rhode Island, and conducted graduate work in engineering at Carnegie-Mellon University and the University of Virginia. He is affiliated with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Electrochemical Society, and Tau Beta Pi. He has also been awarded sixteen patents.
