Edd Berkoben Announces Retirement


Peachtree City, GA, October 21, 2009: Edd Berkoben and Harris Waste Management Group, Inc. announce the retirement of Mr. Edd Berkoben, president, effective December 31, 2009. Mr. Berkoben has elected to retire after serving as president of Harris since 1999. Mr. Berkoben led the company through the steel industry crisis of 2001/2002 and led the company as it entered into new markets such as the shredder equipment industry. In the ten years since 1999, Harris has assumed a leadership position in the shredder industry and strengthened its leadership position in the recycling equipment industry.

Harris expects to appoint a replacement in early-2010.
