Eaton Names Lennart Jonsson Vice President, Technology and Chief Technology Officer for the Electrical Group


CLEVELAND c Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that Lennart Jonsson has been named vice president, technology, and chief technology officer for the Electrical Group, reporting to Craig Black, vice president, Quality, Technology, and Integration. In his new role, Jonsson will be responsible for advancing the Electrical Groupfs engineering and technology capabilities. He will also have strategic leadership responsibility for the Electrical Groupfs global design centers.

Jonsson began his career with Nea-Lindberg AS, Copenhagen, Denmark. He later joined Ulveco Power Systems in Stockholm, Sweden, where he served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility. He joined Fiskars Power Systems OY/AB, Helsinki as director of product development and subsequently relocated from Sweden to the United States to serve as vice president of engineering at Deltec Electronics Corporation. Jonsson joined Exide Electronics/Powerware and served as vice president of engineering and later moved to the Invensys Power Systems/Powerware as the vice president of engineering and new product development. Since joining Eaton with the Powerware acquisition in 2004, he has been the senior engineering manager responsible for the development of all power quality products globally.

Jonsson holds a masterfs degree in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
