SHANGHAI ...Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced that Frank Herr has been named general manager for Eaton's Hydraulics business in Greater China. Herr will report to Shyam Kambeyanda, president - Asia Pacific of Hydraulics Group.

"Frank Herr's success in leading various operations positions him well to take on this important role for Hydraulics," said Kambeyanda. "His experience will be extremely valuable to us as we continue to respond to unprecedented growth in the critical China market."

Rejoining Eaton in 2007 as general manager for the Electrical Sector's Power Distribution Medium Voltage business in North Asia, Herr most recently led the Power Distribution and Controls business.

Herr holds a bachelor's degree in engineering mechanics from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China; a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan; and a doctorate in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Eaton's Hydraulics Group is a segment of the company's Industrial Sector. The business is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of a comprehensive line of reliable, high-efficiency hydraulic systems and components for use in mobile and industrial applications.
