Ori Brafman, co-author of The Starfish and The Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations, will deliver the opening keynote presentation. The conference will feature workshops and training sessions exhibiting the capabilities of the WebEOC solution enabling users to interact with ESi executives and developers, learn and share best practices and participate in hands-on demonstrations.

The WebEOC suite, developed by ESi, was the first web-enabled collaborative crisis information communications system, which provides real- time information sharing to facilitate decision-making in emergency situations. WebEOC links together local, state, federal, volunteer, private and even worldwide sources and provides users with a common operation system giving responders and managers access to the critical operational data they need to make sound decisions quickly.

Features of the conference include: oOpening Keynote - Ori Brafman, co-author of The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations, will discuss how growing decentralization is causing a cultural shift and the impact of this global revolution on emergency planners and managers. Conference attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book, and Brafman will hold a book signing during the welcome reception Tuesday, May 29. oGeneral Sessions - General session topics will focus on user development, formation of user groups and an advisory board, and an overview of new products and solutions. oBreakout Sessions - Breakout sessions include a variety of presentations on notable users of WebEOC including Alejandro Vargas of Delta Airlines, Kevin Lemon of the Texas Department of Public Safety, Shane Booker of the City of Indianapolis, Rushdi Ariss of Disney and Eric Epley of Texas Healthcare. The sessions will also cover user development with ESi professionals and new functions of WebEOC with presentations from ESi partners such as Brian Turley of Strohl Systems, Jack McCarthy of ESRI, Joseph Robinson of Salamander Technologies, Andy Nunemaker of EMSystem and Tom Counts of 3-GIS. oNetworking Activities - Attendees will be able to join the welcome reception Tuesday night, as well as participate in daily breaks and networking sessions. oPre-Conference Training Sessions - Attendees will have the opportunity to select from numerous training sessions focused on WebEOC user functions and administration, WebEOC database management, basic and advanced board building, using WebEOC for simulator drills/exercises and more.

Additionally, user conference participants can attend an optional, one day pre-conference training session on May 29.
