Robotic Mini Pallet Cell Gets Smaller with New Compact FANUC Robot Controller

Join ESS Technologies in Booth # 3177 to view the latest generation Robotic Mini Pallet Cell. This popular robotic palletizing system now offers an even smaller footprint by utilizing the new compact robot controller, the Model R-30iB A-Cabinet, in place of the previous, larger, stand-alone B-Cabinet. ESS has redesigned the already compact palletizing cell to incorporate the stackable controller A-cabinet into the Category 4 interlocked and gasketed safety guarding system to create a streamlined robotic cell that does not require additional floors pace for the robot controller.

The newest iteration of the FANUC R-30iB "A" style cabinet features a redesigned, lightweight 4D graphic iPendant (not shown in the photo) that offers unprecedented ease of use. The energy saving controller design minimizes power consumption for the robotic cell. The controller comes equipped with fully-integrated iRVision hardware for easy error-proofing, 2D and 3D robot guidance standard.

ESS integrates a FANUC M-20iA 6-axis robot with our own custom-designed end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and programs the cell to handle the required pack pattern. The complete palletizing system includes a case infeed conveyor, Category 4 interlocked and gasketed polycarbonate safety guarding, robot tooling and programming for one case size. Pallets may be manually loaded and unloaded from the robotic cell, or optional pallet dispensers and pallet conveyors may be added to create a fully automated palletizing system. Even the robot EOAT changeover can be automated for very fast changeover time. ESS can design the EOAT to pick one case or multiple cases at a time and can be customized to handle other processes, such as pallet placement, deck sheet / tier sheet placement, and case inpsection with reject. The Robotic Mini Pallet Cell is available in single and dual pallet configurations and can palletize up to 20-25 cases per minute.
