EQ Hosts HHW Event for The City of Apache Junction, AZ


Wayne, MI –  The Environmental Quality Company, a fully-integrated environmental services company, is hosting a household hazardous waste collection event for residents of Apache Junction, Arizona. The event will be held at the Apache Junction Public Works Operations Yard located at 575 E. Baseline, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013.

This collection is for residents wishing to dispose of household items that typically cannot be deposited into the regular curbside waste pickup. Some examples of household hazardous waste that may be disposed of are: antifreeze (placed in up to five gallon jugs), batteries (including car, truck and marine), motor oil (placed in up to five gallon jugs), and passenger, light-truck, and semi-truck tires (rims will not be accepted).



Also included in the list of accepted items are electronics such as PC’s, laptops, CRT monitors, flat panel monitors, modems, switches, power cords, printers, wire and cabling, mice, keyboards, hard drives, floppy, DVD, CD drives, telephones, cell phones etc. In addition, Apache Junction residents may bring large household appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, stoves, washing machines, clothes dryers and similar items. Refrigerators and freezers must be cleaned out of all food and any other perishable goods.



Small appliances, furniture, lamps, and any items pertaining to business or commercial materials will not be accepted at this event. The disposal fee for the above items will be free of charge with the exception of any appliance containing freon which may be subjected to a $10 fee per item. Participants may be required to prove Apache Junction residency by showing a valid state-issued ID.
