E.J. Brooks Company Acquires Markitwise

LIVINGSTON, N.J., Jan. 3 -- E.J. Brooks Company of Livingston, New Jersey (USA), the world's leader in mechanical, tamper evident security seals, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Markitwise International Ltd of Worcestershire, United Kingdom, the airline and logistics market leader in tamper evident security tape and labels.
Brooks is the world's leading provider if ISO 17712 compliant high security intermodal bolts and cable seals as well as tamper evident indicative metal and plastic security seals. Brooks is currently the only seal manufacturer that is C-TPAT certified. Brooks is also the market leader in meter-related equipment to America's utility industry.
As security initiatives continue to be implemented across the globe, tamper evident labels and tapes are considered a cost effective security solution within the logistics process. Whether used alone or in conjunction with other security devices, these products assist shippers, airlines and logistics providers protecting their cargo and equipment against theft and terrorism around the world.

Many global customers are looking to purchase more product lines from fewer vendors and this acquisition will help them achieve their supplier consolidation goal.
Markitwise will continue to operate in the same premises in the U.K., with the same management group under the direction of Jason Allen as Managing Director who will report directly to Brooks' global headquarters located in Livingston, NJ.
