Dustvent, Inc. announces a totally new downdraft bench. This 5'x3' integral downdraft bench is tailored for the comfort of seated operators.
Today's high speed hand tools create high velocity chips and dust. To capture high velocity particulate into a downdraft bench collector, you need high velocity air flow. This bench has it! The Model 5x3S delivers a massive 4,154 CFM with work surface velocities exceeding 2400 fpm, and has achieved this with only a 5 horsepower motor.
300 square feet of permanent, high-efficiency fabric filters inside the bench filter out dust and cleaned air is re-circulated, saving the cost of heated or conditioned air. Overall collection efficiency of the filters is 99.9%. Noise level with a noise attenuator is reduced to 70 db(A). The steel grid top is available with up to 1770 pound capacity. Work height is a comfortable 34" with a 1' overhang allowing the operator to be seated while handling work pieces. An optional electric shaker is available.
Model 5x3S is excellent for dust and chips generated by grinding, chipping, sanding, brushing, de-burring and similar operations. This downdraft bench meets or exceeds OSHA standards and operates for years without filter replacement.
