Dustin Turnquist, ESI Metallurgical Engineer Receives P.E. License
Engineering Systems Inc. (ESI) is pleased to announce Dustin Turnquist has received his
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Colorado. He joined ESI in 2003 and is
a Senior Consultant in the company's Colorado Springs, Colorado office.
Mr. Turnquist has over ten years of technical experience in Metallurgical and
Mechanical Engineering. His expertise encompasses fatigue and fracture characterization
of alloys including understanding the relationships between microstructural development,
and residual and applied stresses. Mr. Turnquist has been a lead engineer/laboratory
manager supervising a team of engineers and technicians. Mr. Turnquist participates in
motor vehicle, aircraft and power industry accident investigation and reconstruction
as well as product liability investigations.
Mr. Turnquist is a member of various professional organizations and has been involved in
many technical presentations and publications. He enjoys volunteering as a mentor at the
ASM Materials Camp, teaching high schools students about science and engineering. Mr.
