Press release date: October 24, 2010

BEAVERTON, Ore. - The number of types of DuraLabel industrial labeling supplies available from safety labeling solutions provider Graphic Products, Inc. now exceeds 50, the company announced today.

"As the leading provider of workplace safety solutions by means of label printers and labeling supplies, we strive to anticipate customers' needs for specific label and sign applications before customers even request them," said Eric Johnson, supply product manager at Graphic Products. "Having over 50 types of supplies that can be applied on nearly any surface and in nearly any setting is a big deal, because let's face it, safety awareness in all facets of industry should always be the top concern."

Graphic Products defines "types of supplies" by the unique physical properties of labeling materials being printed on using DuraLabel thermal transfer printers. In other words, what makes up "supply types" are the differences in adhesives a particular label supply possesses that allow its application to specific surfaces, or the characteristics of a label material that allow its application in certain environments.

Many DuraLabel supply tapes and die-cuts are engineered to adhere to surfaces relative to their "surface energy," which is used to describe the level of ability a surface provides for label and sign adhesion. Some label adhesives apply best to "high-energy" surfaces like warm plastics or metals frequently found in laboratories or hospitals. Other label supplies apply best to surfaces of "low-energy," like brick, stone, wood or certain fabrics frequently found around construction sites or warehouses.

Johnson stressed that competitors struggle to keep up with Graphic Products' innovative ways, including the development of new supplies for unique, hard-to-label applications.

The good news for customers is that Graphic Products has become much of an expert in this area, based on its unique label supply offerings.

"With DuraLabel supplies, facility workers can stick labels where competitors' labels simply just cannot be stuck," said Johnson.

The following labeling tapes and die-cut labels are among the more than 50 types of labeling supplies offered by Graphic Products:

o Arc Flash Labels
o NFPA Labels
o Laminated RTK Color Bar Labels
o GHS Labels
o Metallized Poly Tapes
o Nylon Label Tapes
o Premium Vinyl Tapes
o Circuit Board Polyimide Tapes
o Oily Surface Tapes
o Cold Storage Tapes
o Extreme High-Temp Poly Tapes
o Tamper-Evident Destructible Tapes
o Self-Laminating Wire Wraps
o DuraTag (Tag Stock)
o Shrink Tubing
o Magnetic Supply
o Static Cling Supply

Recently introduced DuraLabel supplies include BoldGlo Phosphorescent Tapes, Ultra-Aggressive Adhesive Vinyl Tapes and Marine Label Tapes.

Graphic Products creates new labeling materials aimed at extending label life in both mild and harsh environmental conditions. Each new label supply is subjected to numerous tests in the Graphic Products Testing Laboratory so as to meets or exceeds industry standards. As a result, customers reap the benefits by not having to replace labels frequently, putting more money back into their pockets.

"Safety labels and signs must keep pace with the requirements industries demand, so visual communications must unmistakably convey correct hazards, procedures and instructions on surfaces and in locations never before thought possible," explained Johnson.
