Press release date: September 9, 2007

(Santa Ana, CA: September 9th 2007) Duplo USA is using Graph Expo 2007 to preview the DSF-5000, its new modular high speed sheet feeder and finishing solution that can support the printed output of multiple printers without impacting on print production output.

An addition to the Duplo Document Sheet Feeder family and next-level option to the DSF-2000, the DSF-5000 is a higher speed, production level feeder designed with a series of enhanced benefits to give greater productivity for near-line finishing and bookletmaking solutions. The new belt suction feeder and enhanced sheet separation facilities on the DSF-5000 enables a high speed, yet consistent and reliable feeding of a variety of substrates such as fine quality and art coated paper, with little or no adjustment requirements when changing from one paper type to another. Depending on the paper size, the DSF-5000 can feed up to 400 sheets per minute.

In addition, the DSF-5000 benefits from a new advanced ultrasonic double detector which improves accuracy and reduces waste by preventing the processing of incorrect booklets and a new pallet style paper tray, capable of holding up to 24 in. of paper, which eases the delivery of printed output from the print engine.

Adding to its versatility in handling variable data and personalized print finishing, it also offers Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) and barcode readers supporting both one and 2D Datamatrix bar codes. Operator benefits include automated job setup and changeover, as well as an intuitive, user-friendly PC interface.

Commenting on the introduction of the new DSF-5000 at Graph Expo, Si Nguyen, product marketing manager, Duplo USA says, "We are delighted to be able to demonstrate the versatility and high speed output of our new document sheet feeder on our booth (#3822) at the show. Its modular configuration and enhanced capabilities can offer real productivity benefits to near-line finishing lines, by facilitating fast yet reliable delivery of printed output."

The new Duplo DSF-5000 high speed document sheet feeder will be available to market in January 2008.
