eSMART by Beazer Homes® to Use DuPont(TM) Tyvek® Weatherization Systems on Every Home
WILMINGTON, Del., - DuPont Building Innovations (DuPont) is proud to announce that Beazer Homes, one of the top 10 homebuilders in the United States, has signed a sole-source exclusive agreement to use DuPont(TM) Tyvek® Weatherization Systems on every home. This deal includes the utilization of the full system of Weatherization products - DuPont(TM) Tyvek® HomeWrap®, DuPont Flashing Systems, DuPont(TM) Tyvek® Tape, and DuPont(TM) Residential Sealant. Several factors contributed to the signing of this agreement, including the longevity DuPont has enjoyed in the house wrap market, the company's advanced research and development unit, as well as the stringent testing employed on DuPont products to ensure high-quality and top-performing building solutions.
As part of the eSMART by Beazer Homes® initiative, DuPont is helping Beazer build high-performance homes engineered for energy-efficiency, cost savings and comfort. Through this initiative, DuPont(TM) Tyvek® Weatherization Systems will be used on every home to seal the building envelope, offering protection against air and bulk water intrusion and helping to reduce the energy needed for heating and cooling. DuPont(TM) Tyvek® wraps, when installed properly, help contribute to many green building programs, including the National Green Building Standard (ICC-700), LEED® for Homes(TM), ENERGY STAR® guidelines, and GreenHouse(TM) Certified Construction Guidelines.

The exclusive agreement between DuPont and Beazer Homes will help the builder further implement consistent building practices across regions. DuPont will continue to closely work with Beazer on training, education and best practices, and will provide additional educational opportunities for Beazer employees to apply building science concepts with DuPont(TM) Tyvek® Weatherization Systems.
