Dranetz-BMI Receives NSN Certification for PX-5 Government Package for Power Monitoring
Edison, N.J.- Dranetz-BMI, a worldwide leader in power monitoring instrumentation, has received National Stock Number (NSN) 6625-01-538-0252 certification through FAA for its PX5-Gov-PKG package. Now that the PX-5 is listed under the Federal Cataloging System, it can be applied in government facilities including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, US Coast Guard and Homeland Security departments.
Dranetz-BMI's PowerXplorer PX5 integrates the most advanced feature set available in a power instrument. The unique measurement capabilities of the PowerXplorer include capture of low-medium-high frequency transients as well as power measurements to clearly characterize non-sinusoidal and unbalanced systems. Unlike the rest of the PowerXplorer family, the PX5 incorporates high-speed sampling to capture and analyze microsecond-wide transients.
Data can be viewed in real time using scope mode, meter mode, event mode, harmonics spectrum or phasor diagrams. Data is captured on a memory card for analysis, trending, visualization and reporting using industry-leading DRAN-VIEW® software. Dranetz-BMI has also added AnswerModules®, proprietary algorithms that convert raw power quality event data into precise answers to determine the source and cause of the disturbance.
The certified PX5 package includes one Power Explorer PX5, three TR-2500A probes, three TR-2021 probes, three CA4300 cable adapters, one RSC-4300 Rugged ship container, one 128M Data memory card, one Flash card reader USB, one DranView Pro Software DVP-PX and one CD-PX5/4400 Operational Training CD.
The PX5 is UL and CE compliant and meets IEC standards. There is also a PX5-400 for 400Hz applications. Please refer to GSA contract GS24F-1129B.
