Donaldson Australasia recently hosted a visit from Stefan Loebbert, Director of Industrial Air Filtration (IAF) and Compressed Air & Process (CAP) for Donaldson Asia Pacific.
This visit coincided with the company's annual sales conferences. Mr. Loebbert provided the group with an update on recent investments made in the region to strengthen both the product portfolio as well as the company's ability to customise designs for customers within the Asia Pacific region.
Historically many of Donaldson Australasia's products have come from design centres in North America or Europe which often resulted in extended lead times or the need for modifications to meet local requirements.
Mr Loebbert was pleased to inform the group that a new technical centre has been established out of Donaldson's facility in Wuxi, China, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of the countries within Asia and the Pacific.
"This technical centre will be a strong complement to our Australian manufacturing facility as well as our sales and applications engineering teams," said Mr Loebbert.
"What this means for our customers is an improved supply chain, increased capability to meet stringent local requirements and the ability to provide custom solutions more effectively."
Donaldson not only continues to deliver the best technology resulting in reduced equipment footprints, improved filtration efficiency and lower operating costs, but the company is now able to deliver those benefits to customers faster and more cost effectively as a result of the investments made in the region.
"My visit predominantly was to speak first hand to our sales and technical personnel about all the technological developments available to Australia as well as the added supply chain resources they now have at their disposal.
"A key ingredient of our operation is the reduction in time to transport goods and technologies within the Asia Pacific region." said Mr Loebbert.
