MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Donaldson Company, Inc (NYSE:DCI). is pleased to announce receipt of 3-A Symbol license renewal for 2010 from 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. for single-element PG-EG sanitary gases/steam and PF-EG sanitary liquid process filter housings. Donaldson is one of a select few filtration companies to be listed as a 2010 3-A Symbol holder on the 3-A SSI web site. In February 2010, 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. announced the current 3-A Symbol licensed holders as new public information for regulatory sanitarians, processors, equipment fabricators, and other interested parties.
The product and manufacturing process enhancements provided by the Donaldson PG-EG and PF-EG sanitary process housings successfully meet the rigorous Third Party Verification (TPV) inspection, which is required every five years to maintain 3-A Symbol authorization. The use of the 3-A Symbol on dairy and food equipment provides accepted criteria to equipment manufacturers for sanitary design, assures processors that equipment meets sanitary standards, and establishes guidelines for uniform evaluation and compliance by sanitarians.
The Donaldson single-element PG-EG process filter housings for sanitary gases and steam and the Donaldson PF-EG process filter housings for sanitary liquids are both equipped with sanitary Tri-Clamp connections and have inner and outer surfaces electro polished to a Ra 32 finish. Both filter housings are designed to yield low differential pressures at high flow rates. A broad selection of filter elements is available to meet the compatibility and micron rating requirements of many processes.
In addition to the single-element process filter housings, the PF-EG multiple-element sanitary liquid housings are also available with the 3-A stamp. The PF-EG housings with 1-1/2" Tri-Clamp connections and larger are ASME code stamped and have inner and outer surfaces nitric passivated to a Ra 32 finish.
