Rapidly growing market drives new manufacturing facility
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 30 -- Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE:DCI), a leading worldwide designer and manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, is pleased to announce the opening of two additional manufacturing plants in China. This more than doubled manufacturing capacity for the Company's engine and industrial filtration businesses in China. A Technical Center was also built to support new product design and development.
"The market for new filtration products is growing rapidly in Asia, particularly in China," said Henk Touw, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific at Donaldson. "We continue to invest around the world for our future growth and to support our commitment to stay close to our Customers."
In 1985, Donaldson opened its first Chinese manufacturing facility in Hong Kong. In 1997, Asia expansion continued with the completion of the first Wuxi facility, supporting the Company's Disk Drive business. Donaldson's next investment in China, scheduled to begin production in 2007, will expand the Company's disk drive manufacturing capabilities.
