Matching Products with Unique Customer Needs:
DIRAK Inc, global innovator in latches, locks and hinges, has expanded its ability to match each customer need with the right product or technology, with the appointment of Vince Brant as Applications Engineer. Brant will be dedicated full-time to determining the specific solutions for unique customer applications. He will report to Armin Fink, Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Operations.
"At DIRAK, we pride ourselves on products that can be adapted for customers' unique situations," said Fink. "Vince Brant will make it easier than ever for customers to determine which existing products, or which combinations, best suit their specific needs. He will also work with us to develop new solutions for specific customer needs," Fink said.
Brant's activities will include: o working with customers and with DIRAK sales people to understand specific customer needs, o researching DIRAK's product array to find the right parts or combinations for specific needs, o acting as the point-person for developing customer-specific new parts and technologies, o locating technical background materials -- such as CAD drawings -- that customers might need, and o participating in select sales and marketing events.
Brant comes to the position with more than 20 years of experience understanding technical products and helping companies and their customers communicate about products. His previous employers have included Tellabs, Inc., Alcatel and Sprint.
Prior to his employment with DIRAK, Brant became acquainted with DIRAK products by developing technical documentation describing the hardware, software, and configuration of the E-LINE product line.
He earned both his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Radford University in Radford, Va.
