Press release date: February 1, 2006

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diodes Incorporated (NASDAQ:DIOD), a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality discrete semiconductors primarily to the communications, computing, industrial, consumer electronics and automotive markets, today announced that it has successfully completed the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance audit with respect to meeting the stringent criteria for the new ISO/TS 16949:2002 global automotive standard.

ISO/TS 16949:2002 was developed by The International Automotive Task Force (IATF), in conjunction with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Together with ISO 9001:2000 (a previously achieved standard of quality by Diodes), ISO/TS 16949:2002 specifies the quality system requirements for the design/development, production, installation and servicing of automotive related products. In addition, there are customer specific requirements that are required by individual subscribing vehicle manufacturers.

Since this ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification represents an industry-recognized level of quality, it provides customers with added confidence in their decision to partner with Diodes, Inc. Meeting this standard reflects the Company's commitment to providing the highest-quality products and services to its customers, and is an endorsement of the Company's commitment not only to understanding and meeting customer needs, but also to enhancing customer satisfaction.

"The standards needed to be met to achieve the ISO/TS 16949:2002 qualification were rigorous, and meeting them allows us to do business with those customers looking for manufacturers and suppliers who meet these stringent standards," said Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, President and CEO of Diodes Incorporated.

ISO/TS 16949:2002 certifications were awarded to Diodes' Shanghai KaiHong Electronics Company, Ltd. and Diodes Shanghai Company, Ltd., Diodes' two manufacturing facilities located in Shanghai, China.

The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies, comprising members from 156 countries. The object of the organization is to promote the development of standardization and related activities throughout the world, with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services and the development of cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.
