Digital Wave Corporation Announces Oxarc Purchase of UE23(TM) Ultrasonic Cylinder Scanning
Digital Wave Corporation (www.digitalwavecorp.com) announced today that they have entered into an agreement for the provision of Digital Wave's high speed ultrasonic DOT gas cylinder inspection machines called the UE23(TM). The addition of the UE23(TM)'s will allow for increased production rates at a decreased cost per cylinder throughput.
Dr. Mike Gorman, President Digital Wave Corporation, is quoted as saying: "We are very excited about this new application. The UE product line technology will allow Oxarc to increase their inspection rates by thousands per month without an increase in manpower or other overhead. The Digital Wave UE1(TM) and UE23(TM) devices allow for inspection of cylinders without having to remove the external clear coat, do not require the removal of the cylinder valve and do not require the exposure of the internal surface to water.
All of these factors are inherent to the 100 year old traditional hydrostatic inspection technology. Another key factor the UE23(TM) brings is that all inspections are done under the operation of a single operator. To achieve the same inspection rates using hydrostatic testing methods, multiple operators and machines would be required.
