Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) is offering its digital fiber fusion splicer with automatic focus function. It is designed for single mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF) and non-zero dispersion-shifted fiber (NZ-DSF). This compact fiber fusion splicer is an ideal tool for construction and maintenance of fiber and cable in both field and laboratory applications.
This fiber fusion splicer, model C0210002, offers both normal and automatic splicing modes. It features single X or Y view and simultaneous X and Y views, a short splicing time of 9 seconds and an impressive tube heating time of 30 seconds. It detects cleaved fiber end-face faults and adjusts parameters automatically. It has a fiber cleave length of 8 mm to 16 mm with coating diameter of 250 µm. Equipped with a 5.6 inch color LCD screen, it displays the cleaved fiber and offset angle and core and clad offset clearly. This compact fiber fusion splicer has a USB interface for data communication and software upgrades. In addition, it is shock resistant and has an intelligent menu design.
This digital fiber fusion splicer belongs to GAO's family of Fusion Splicers. This line also includes Fiber Fusion Splicer which automatically adjusts to environmental conditions using built-in temperature, humidity and pressure sensors that provide constant feedback signals to control the fusion arc temperature.
