Dialogic Corporation Acquires Cantata through Purchase of EAS Group, Inc.

Brooktrout, Excel Switching and SnowShore now also owned by Dialogic

MONTREAL, Quebec. Oct 5th, 2007 - Dialogic Corporation ("Dialogic") announced today that it has acquired all of the outstanding shares of EAS Group Inc. ("EAS"). Subsidiaries of EAS include Cantata Technology, Inc., Excel Switching Corporation, Brooktrout Technology, Inc. and SnowShore Networks Inc. The acquisition was a share-based transaction and the former shareholders of EAS are now minority shareholders in Dialogic.

Through the acquisition of EAS and its subsidiaries, Dialogic will expand its product portfolio and customer base in the communications technology enabling market segment with the rich portfolio of Cantata® communication boards and software. The addition of the SnowShore® IP Media Server(TM), the Excel Converged System Platform ("CSP"), the Excel Multi-Services Platform ("MSP") and Cantata Technology(TM) IMG 1010(TM) product families to Dialogic's product portfolio will enable Dialogic to expand its customer base in the service provider market segment. The addition of the Brooktrout® TR1000(TM), Brooktrout TR1034(TM), Brooktrout® TruFax® and Brooktrout® SR140(TM) product families will also strengthen Dialogic's leading position in the enterprise market segment.

"We are very excited about this acquisition," said Nick Jensen, Dialogic's President and CEO. "It allows us to consolidate our position as the market segment leader and broaden our leading edge product and services portfolio. We are confident that we will seamlessly integrate this business into Dialogic as successfully as we did last year when we acquired Intel Corporation's media and signaling business. Our customers can be assured that, despite our significant growth, we will remain a company that is easy to do business with. As well, all of our stakeholders can be assured that we will continue to build Dialogic through vision, focus and excellent execution of our strategy."

The new product lines will be added to Dialogic's already expansive selection of products that include technology leading Dialogic® Host Media Processing software, Dialogic® signaling software and the industry's broadest selection of media processing boards, SS7 signaling components, and robust PBX-to-IP media gateways.

"Once we started talking with Dialogic, we knew there would be great synergy in the product roadmaps. Dialogic already had products like the IMG 1010 and MSP integrated signaling and media gateways and platforms on its roadmap. With this acquisition, Dialogic is able to offer these products now. For example, the IMG1010 with its NEBS 3 design improves Dialogic's position in the carrier-grade market segment. Additionally, the SnowShore IP Media Server combined with the current Dialogic® Multi Media Platform (MMP) offers our customers market leading IMS-ready products," said Tim Murray, Chief Operating Officer at Dialogic, formerly CEO of Cantata Technology.
