DiPaolo CNC Retrofit's Nelson Martins Earns Accredited Equipment Appraiser (AEA) Designation

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, October 06, 2009 // - Nelson Martins, DiPaolo's General Manager, has earned the Accredited Equipment Appraiser (AEA) designation by completing the necessary coursework, testing and by meeting the market-based experience requirements mandated by the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA). Individuals who've earned the AEA designation are recognized in the used machinery and equipment industry and by banks and lending institutions as an expert able to provide professional, reliable and accurate reports on machinery and equipment.

To earn this AEA designation, Martins must possess a minimum of three years experience in buying, selling and/or appraising used machinery and equipment in the marketplace. As well, Martins passed the stringent AMEA exam on technical and ethical issues. He also submitted and passed a review of an unidentifiable appraisal that complied with the AMEA Standards and Procedures of Professional Appraisal Practice. Going forward, in order to maintain the AEA certification, Martins must complete 70 hours of continuing education every five years, achieve a successful appraisal review every two years, comply with all Standards and Procedures of Professional Appraisal Practice, and undergo current testing by USPAP renewal policies.

Nelson explains, "This designation enhances DiPaolo's value. Our client-centric culture finds us looking for ways to take the services we provide to the next level. In all we do, we aim to serve our clients to the best of our ability. We work hard to earn their confidence and continue to add to our offerings. When it comes to machine tool needs, we hope to be the first place they think of." He adds, "Whether looking for an appraisal on one piece of equipment or an entire plant with a variety of machines, I'll deliver a dependable, quality report".

Direct involvement in the marketplace is key to formulating accurate valuations. On a daily basis AMEA accredited members are involved in the buying, selling and appraising of machinery and equipment. Given his extensive market-based experience, depth of knowledge and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the appraisal industry, Martins has been added to the rolls of Accredited Equipment Appraisers.
