Expansion of Delphi's business demonstrates breadth and depth of its OE and aftermarket applications

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Delphi announced today during a press conference held at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas that it plans to add over 200 fuel part numbers in 2010 for a wide range of vehicle makes that include Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler. With this expansion Delphi provides more Original Equipment (OE) fuel pumps and modules than any other supplier in the North American aftermarket.

"Delphi has more than 50 years of OE experience in the fuel handling systems category. Our engineers hold numerous fuel handling trade secrets and many patents for the design of fuel modules and fuel pumps," said Dave Barbeau, vice president, independent aftermarket, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. "Our focus remains on ensuring our product portfolio in the aftermarket leverages our OE heritage and delivers the products needed by our customers. "

Ford Fuel Products

As evidence of Delphi's strengthening OE position, Delphi is manufacturing and marketing Ford fuel delivery modules and hanger pumps for Ford Original Equipment Service (OES) and announced today it will bring these same parts - the "Parts the Cars Are Born With" - to the independent aftermarket. Delphi plans to add more than 160 part numbers for Ford fuel modules throughout 2010, which will provide coverage for over 80 percent of the Ford North American product lineup on 1987 to 2009 models.

"Delphi's addition of the Ford fuel line adds more depth and breadth to our business," said Ian Voce, global director of marketing, independent aftermarket, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. "It reflects an important step in strengthening our OE coverage and platform."

In fact, from an OE perspective, Delphi supplies fuel modules for the F150, F250/F350, Navigator/Expedition, Econoline, Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis, Explorer, Ranger, Ford Motor Home Platform, Mustang and the Mazda J87 platform.

Additional Late Model Fuel Coverage Planned

Delphi continues to broaden its fuel offering with plans to introduce over 30 new part numbers in the aftermarket in 2010 for Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Acura, GMC, Chevy, Cadillac, Pontiac and Saturn applications, including late models.
