Del Tanner Named President of ESAB North America
Florence, SC - ESAB Welding & Cutting Products announces that Del Tanner, chairman and CEO of Anderson Group Inc. (AGI), will assume the role and responsibilities of President of ESAB North America in addition to his current responsibilities as chairman and CEO of AGI, effective immediately. Tanner is assuming Andy Blanchard's responsibilities, who left the company to pursue other opportunities. ESAB is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGI, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to company officials, Tanner is assuming the ESAB presidency as part of an effort to streamline the company to be more efficient and more responsive to its customer base in the future. "ESAB is a well established company, and we wish to position the company for future growth, by being the low-cost, best-value supplier for our distributors and end users," Tanner said. "Our goal is to have ESAB make a more powerful impact in the welding and cutting industry."
Del Tanner joined Anderson Group Inc. as president and CEO in May 2005. He was formerly president and chief executive officer of RMC USA Inc. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in business administration, both from Arizona State University.
