Dekoflake, the Sunderland based manufacturer of seamless floor and wall finishes has teamed up with Addmaster (UK) Ltd to develop a range of antimicrobial hygienic flooring products incorporating Biomaster Protection to meet the markets needs for extra levels of hygiene in critical care environments.
The "DekoFlake Biomaster Sealer" is quickly and easily applied over existing floors to provide a high quality, durable, UV stable, high scratch and stain resistance antimicrobial coating that actively reduces the growth of harmful bacteria.
Biomaster Protection has also been incorporated into the DekoFlake Hygiene System, a rugged, extremely hard wearing, scratch and strain resistant flooring system that actively reduces the growth of bacteria on it's surface. This system exceeds all international food processing and hygiene standards including EU and FDA.
Both the DekoFlake Biomaster Sealer and DekoFlake Hygiene System are ideal for high traffic areas such as hospitals, care homes, schools and food processing environments.
DekoFlake has also developed a scented floor system with Addmaster that can incorporate Biomaster Protection on request. This new flooring system can freshen up any environment with delicately scented floors and is a great addition to washrooms, bathrooms, locker rooms and receptions. Scents available range from Green Apple, Citrus, Cherry and Pine.
Biomaster Protection is a silver based antimicrobial additive that is built into the DekoFlake products during manufacture proving a "built-in" antimicrobial effect that will not wash off and becomes and integral part of the product. The DekoFlake products with built-in Biomaster Protection have been tested to ISO 22196:2011 for antimicrobial efficacy and has been shown to reduce the overall growth a bacteria on it's surfaces by 99.9%.
The Biomaster Protection built into DekoFlake's new range of hygiene products has been proven to stop the growth of harmful bacteria species such as MRSA, E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Legionella and Pseudomonas making it an ideal addition for products in high care environments.
