Degremont Completes Acquisition of AmeriWater


Degremont, a subsidiary of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT announces it has completed the acquisition of AmeriWater, a specialist in high-purity water production.

Based in Dayton, Ohio (USA), AmeriWater is operating since 1995 and is a recognized specialist in design, manufacturing and supply of high-purity water treatment systems for the healthcare market, with a broad range of systems specifically designed for all areas of hospitals and clinics. The company also offers a full line of solutions for industrial applications with a product line that includes cooling tower filters, reverse osmosis systems, deionizers, filters, and softeners, as well as related services.

AmeriWater has over 40 employees, an active on-site Service Group and an in-house manufacturing facility, and is present throughout North America via a well established network of dealers.

Ms. Diane Dolan will remain in her capacity of AmeriWater Chief Executive Officer. "We are thrilled to join forces with Degremont." says Dolan. "The resulting synergies position our entire organization to strengthen our market share with an even broader assortment of products and services." AmeriWater Vice President, James Baker, will continue to provide technical expertise and will lead the product development strategy.

Degremont Technologies Chief Executive Officer François Bernès, notes that, "AmeriWater has a solid reputation and offers strong prospects for future growth. This new addition fits perfectly within Degremont's overall ultra-pure water strategy."

AmeriWater will be integrated into Degremont's Equipment Business Line, joining other equipment manufacturers, suppliers and service providers that operate under the Degremont Technologies banner around the world.
