(Fulton, N.Y.) - PT Dwi Indah, the parent company of Golden Swan (Singapore), has purchased its first Davis-Standard stretch film line for Indonesia. Slated for shipment the end of September 2011, the line will support the group's diverse offering of plastic packaging films and bags. This is the second Davis-Standard stretch film line purchased by the group. The first line was installed at Golden Swan (Singapore), a major manufacturer of shrink film, stretch film, LDPE/HDPE bags, LDPE builder rolls and pallet covers. The new line will produce jumbo rolls for subsequent slitting and rewinding into hand wrap rolls as well as machine wrap rolls.
Davis-Standard supplies multi-layer stretch cast film systems in widths from 80 to 200 inches (2 to 5 meters) and line speeds from 1,500 to 2,000 feet per minute (457 to 610 meters per minute). Typical products range from 35 to 300 gauge films. Winding systems feature fully automatic roll and core handling systems.
