ANN ARBOR, Michigan, April 17, 2006 - Omnex, Inc., an international consulting, training and software development organization, has named David A. Lalain as its Executive Vice President of Quality Solutions and President of its new entity, the Omnex Quality Culture.
Mr. Lalain brings more than 33 years of experience in quality systems leadership and implementation to his new roles. As Executive Vice President, he will lead Omnex's drive to diversify its markets and strengthen its deliverables for quality management system outsourcing and supplier development. As President of the Omnex Quality Culture, Mr. Lalain will focus on leading Omnex clients through a systematic process resulting in quality improvement and customer success.

Before joining Omnex, Mr. Lalain served as Global Quality Director at PPG Industries, where he led the implementation of quality improvement, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) for over six years, and is a recipient of the prestigious AIAG Outstanding Achievement Award.
Mr. Lalain has a degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University and over 1,000 hours of formal training in quality management. He is a member of ASQ.
