WASHINGTON--David Brancaccio, host of American Public Media’s Marketplace Morning Report, will deliver opening remarks at the Emerging Opportunities in Global Markets Forum as well as moderate the Scientific American Worldview Super Session at the 2014 BIO International Convention® in San Diego. The Convention attracts the biggest names in biotech, regularly draws 15,000 attendees, offers key networking and partnering opportunities and provides insights and inspiration on major trends affecting the industry.

The forum will wrap up with the Scientific American Worldview Super Session – BIOTECH: We are the World, Thursday, June 26, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. PDT. Moderated by Brancaccio, this event will explore key themes from Scientific American’s annual biotechnology edition, featuring the Worldview Scorecard and fresh perspectives on international life science development.



Scientific American Worldview editors will participate in a Google+ Hangout, March 25, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. EDT, to preview the main themes of this year’s Scorecard.
